Patients who prefer the extended release version of Suboxone may find that the lower strengths are sufficient for treating milder cases of addiction.
– Suboxone HCI Matrix Tablets – This newest version of Suboxone is intended specifically for women. It is made up of 100% bioidentical hormones and is designed to mimic the natural fluctuations of estrogen and progesterone in women. It comes in strengths ranging from 1.5 mg to 12mg per tablet. Women who are interested in trying this product may benefit from consulting their physician prior to beginning therapy. It is best to start on a lower strength and build up to higher ones depending upon individual tolerance levels and response to treatment.
The most popular method of administering Suboxone is using the extended release film. Although it may not always be necessary, it is highly recommended that the patient try to avoid any food or liquids for at least one hour before popping a film.
