Is The Brown Note Real

“In the last few years, we’ve seen our fair share of military and police technology being turned into consumer gadgets that can be purchased by anyone with a credit card. Most recently, this has been true of drones. It’s not just drones either – there are plenty of other examples where manufacturers have taken the cutting edge of technology and made it more accessible to consumers. One such example is the stun gun.
Stun guns aren’t actually firearms, but they do serve similar purposes. These weapons use electricity as their means of delivering an electrical charge to the target area. This sends an electric current through the victim’s body which causes muscle tissue to contract involuntarily, rendering them unable to function for anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes depending on how severe the injury. They’re also known as Tasers because they were originally used by Canadian Mounties before being adopted by law enforcement agencies around the world.
One company, called S2 Solutions, came up with the idea behind what would become the most famous weapon in its arsenal when a friend suggested using high voltage electricity to stop riots. The result was a device named the “”brown note.”” In 2008, prototypes of the weapon were sent out to various police departments across Canada, but only one had been modified to work properly. By 2010, however, the weapon had undergone some significant changes.
According to the manufacturer’s website, the original design was too complicated and dangerous to mass produce, so it was redesigned and simplified. The new version looks like a small black box about the size of a cell phone charger. On the top, you’ll see three rows of five buttons each. Each button triggers a different mode of operation which includes firing, strobe and even a self-defense mode. There’s also an LED screen right below the controls. You need to press the correct button combination in order to activate any specific feature.
On the left side of the unit is a small red emergency trigger. If you accidentally push this button instead of the main power switch, it will cause the unit to fire a shot at point blank range (about 3 feet) which simulates a shotgun blast. This isn’t something you want to try unless you really enjoy getting your hands dirty.
Underneath the controls is a large power cable connected to a 9 volt battery pack. When you turn the device on, you’ll see the LEDs come alive, indicating that the batteries are charged. Next, you should hear a loud clicking noise coming from inside the device. That’s the safety latch disengaging. Now you can plug it in and start charging!
When the batteries get full enough, you’ll see the screen light up with the message “”Charged,”” followed by another series of clicks. At this point, the device is ready to go.
Here’s where things get interesting. All you have to do now to make the gadget shoot actual darts is hit the fire button once again. After doing so, you’ll see the lights begin flashing rapidly. This indicates that the darts are loaded and ready to launch. Once you see this, it’s time to find somewhere to set up shop and wait for a riot.
What Are Darts?
Dart Guns are basically just specialized firearms designed to shoot projectiles at extremely close ranges. In addition to being able to penetrate walls, these rounds contain chemicals that burn flesh and tear apart cells. While they don’t kill people instantly like stun guns, dart guns offer a far quicker way to subdue someone who poses a threat to public safety. Even if they don’t succeed in stopping a riot completely, the resulting injuries could still prevent rioters from continuing to advance toward a crowd of civilians.
These projectiles are usually launched from rifles or pistols, but since the darts can potentially travel much faster than bullets (upwards of 200 mph), launchers must be specially built to withstand the extreme forces involved.
For the purpose of this article, I tested out the prototype of the Brown Note Riot Control System with two live rounds from a standard issue M16 rifle. You’re probably wondering why I didn’t simply use a real handgun, but the reason for this lies within the mechanics of the dart itself. Unlike bullets, the projectile fired from a dart gun never leaves the barrel. Instead, it’s pushed forward at incredible speed by gases generated inside the gun. This allows the launcher to build up enormous amounts of energy without having to worry about recoil.
This increased velocity also requires special consideration when designing a launching mechanism. Since the projectiles move so fast, the launcher needs to accelerate them quickly while keeping the rest of the system relatively compact. This becomes especially important when you consider that many modern riot control systems are portable. As the projectile travels downrange, it builds up momentum until it reaches its maximum velocity. Then, everything slows down dramatically.
This phenomenon can create problems if the launcher doesn’t provide enough acceleration to reach peak velocity before the dart does. For instance, if you have a launcher that launches darts directly upward, then you’ll end up shooting yourself in the face after the dart hits the ground. To avoid this, launchers typically employ a method called deceleration spin which keeps the remaining portion of the projectile moving downward as well.

Conclusion
While it may seem surprising that a person wouldn’t necessarily require a firearm in order to protect himself against rioting thugs, it makes sense considering the fact that the average life expectancy rate in North America is currently 72.4 years old. With that said, if you happen to carry a concealed weapon on you, you might want to keep it locked away safely during a riot situation.
As for the Brown Note, it’s definitely not the best option to rely on if you plan on participating in a civil disturbance. But if you happen to be in the vicinity and receive word that trouble is brewing, then it’s worth taking out one of these bad boys and seeing if it works. In my opinion, it would certainly give protesters pause to think twice about picking a fight with the cops.
