What Percentage Of Guys Like Feet

If you’re one of those guys who’s always been fascinated by feet but never had the nerve to talk to a girl about it, you may want to consider taking your foot fetish up a notch and trying out some role play.
While there are plenty of people in this world who would love nothing more than to pleasure themselves with their own hand or another person’s hand (or two), not all of us can do what we desire for ourselves. That’s where role playing comes in — allowing you to make yourself feel like someone else. And if you’ve ever thought about being dominated by a woman, now might be a good time to get started.
In an article published on Psychology Today, sexologist Patrick Califia explained that while most people probably think of foot fetishes as “dirty,” they actually serve a useful function. He wrote:
“The feet represent our bodies’ least-appreciated body parts, and many people find them particularly sexy… The feet also symbolize femininity, which is why so many male-identified sadomasochists seem especially drawn to these areas.”
As he points out, the feet are often considered to be among the dirtiest parts of the human body, yet they have such delicate skin and sensitive nerves that touching them can cause a great deal of pain. Even worse, the average man has only five toes, whereas the rest of our digits typically grow at a rate of 1/2 inch per year. So when you look at feet from the perspective of a guy who’s obsessed with them, they become the epitome of beauty and ugliness both.
Because of their extreme sensitivity, feet tend to provoke feelings of lust and arousal in us. Lehmiller even went as far as breaking down the sexual orientation of his participants, explaining that 18 percent of heterosexual men have fantasized about feet before, compared to a very small 5 percent of heterosexual women. Only 3 percent of gay men have any interest in feet whatsoever, according to Lehmiller’s research, while 17 percent of lesbian women have fantasies involving feet.
So what exactly does makes feet turn us on? It turns out that humans have a natural response to stimuli based on how much danger we believe we’d face if we didn’t react to something. In other words, the more dangerous an activity is perceived to be, the more likely we are to respond sexually to it. This means that just because you usually don’t pay attention to your feet doesn’t mean that you’ll never be aroused by them.
When it comes to feet, the first thing that arouses us is touch. We respond best to soft textures, and feet are naturally soft and smooth. They also provide a lot of surface area for stimulation, which is important to remember because feet aren’t shaped like penises. Unlike the rest of our bodies, our feet don’t have ridges, folds, creases or valleys that can create friction against our erections. Instead, our feet are flat and featureless. If you were able to compare them to anything, they’d resemble a pair of giant ice skates.
Feet are also unique in that they require more than just simple stroking motions. To achieve orgasm through manual stimulation, experts recommend using long, gentle strokes along the length of the foot rather than quick circular movements near its base. You should also avoid directly stimulating the sole, as doing so will lead to blisters. Rather, focus on gently rubbing around the edges of the toes and balls. Finally, try varying speeds between light pressure and firm pressure.
Another way to increase the intensity of your reaction to feet is to engage in kink play. While most of us wouldn’t immediately jump into thinking about domination and submission scenarios when we see a pair of legs, feet are a different story. Foot fetishes can involve everything from spanking to toe sucking. For example, you could use your mouth to massage a partner’s feet, allowing her to relax and enjoy the experience without having to worry about getting dirty. Or perhaps you could take off her shoes and give her pedicures instead.
As feet are the source of so many powerful emotions and reactions, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that they can also help bring us closer together. When combined with physical affection, it can encourage intimacy and strengthen relationships. Just ask George Clooney.
