– First of all, try to avoid meditating during lunch break when you are least energetic and fed up with office work.
– Avoid meditating late at night just before going to bed. Your brain will start sending signals randomly and you won’t be able to focus on anything. Instead go for deep relaxation techniques like progressive relaxation, guided imagery etc.
– Try to meditate early morning hours when you are freshest and you are least likely to get interrupted due to any urgent calls/messages.
– Also try to meditate early afternoon hours. During this period you will generally be free from interruptions without getting too sleepy.
– Another good option would be to meditate mid-day whenever possible. This is usually suitable for people who have flexible working schedules.

Once you have decided the timing of your choice, there are certain things that you need to check in advance before you begin practicing meditation. One of them is light pollution. Many cities in India suffer from high levels of light pollution and therefore it is highly recommended to stay indoors or near buildings during dusk to dawn hours.

Another essential aspect that should always be kept in mind is that meditation is meant to relax your mind. Don’t expect results overnight; it takes time. Don’t get disappointed if you don’t see immediate changes in yourself. All the hard work done over days and months finally pays off. So stick to the routine and gradually your health will improve tremendously.
